Speidi

I know how hurt we all are to hear of the demise of Spiedi.  If you don't know who they are, you must have been living under a rock for the last 5 years and you can go back under your rock now.  I just have one thing to say on the matter of Speidi's pending divorce.  We all knew you were only together for the show, but couldn't you have waited for at least a little longer before you guys split?  At least to give us an idea the show wasn't all made up?  I mean really.  Although if I were Heidi, I wouldn't have wanted to spend another minute with evil spawn either.  Actually scratch that...I wouldn't have dated/lived with/married him in the first place.  My advice for Heidi Montag...go back in for plastic surgery but this time take out the boobs, try to get your old nose back, and try to go back to pre-Spencer Heidi.  Look at it this way, no one will expect it or recognize you.  Then take the money you got from "The Hills" and help your parentals out and move back to Colorado.  It's the last thing people will expect from you. 

Toxic Men...and other tid-bits

For any of you that have seen The Holiday you will know, sort of, what I am talking about. For the rest of you, I'm sure you'll figure it out. I have recently dismissed my Jasper, you know the guy who always turns up making Kate Winslet fall madly in love with him then leaves her feeling devastated and insignificant. I am so proud of myself that I have decided to let the world, ok the 3 people that follow my blog, know how liberating it feels to finally be done with someone who, for lack of a better word, is toxic. Toxic in all senses. He makes me feel like I am laying tied to a train track waiting for the inevitable which seems to come all too soon and not soon enough at the same time. But that is all over and done with! I am finished! Rid of him forever! I havent' felt this great in a long time.
On top of all that, I am planning for the future! I opened a 401K today and am saving for my retirement! I feel like a real grown-up and it's fantastic! I have also determined that I am going to enjoy being a young, single woman and I am going to move up the ladder at my workplace and someday, maybe, run a call center! What a goal! Who knew I had such goals in me??? Weird, right?

Week 1...I made it through.

Well everyone, I made it through my first week of training at Convergys. I am still alive and sane! Hallelujah! Anyway, It has been a fairly uneventful week. I made it through week one, as I said before, I also finished Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and started Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I am right on track for finishing all the books in the next 6 weeks, as long as I keep the momentum going. Well that's about all I have done lately. Ttyl all.

My Guilty Pleasure...

So...as most of you know, my favorite show is "The Hills". Well, the fifth season is coming to an end next Sunday so here is my take on the latest "Hills" news. I had such high hopes for Spencer, I should have known better, he apologized to Lauren for saying awful things about her and then last week he publicly renounced his apology. Some things never change I guess. Once a douche, always a douche. Seriously Heidi, what on earth are you doing married to him?
On another note, I am sad because Lauren is leaving the show but glad that she is going on to bigger and better things. However, the drama will continue with Kristen Cavallari next season. What amazes me is that she continues to take over Lauren's shows when Lauren is done with them. Audrina is getting a new reality show, Lauren is leaving, why not hand the reins over to Lo? That makes more sense to me. At least they didn't give the whole show to Heidi and Spencer though. I don't know how I would handle seeing them be even bigger media whores.
Anyway, that's the latest "Hills" drama. Tune in next week after Speidi get married. Wow...why do I watch this stuff? Guess we will never know.

New Job/Old Job

I am going back to Convergys tomorrow. I don't know how I feel about it other than to say two things: "Aah! What am I thinking!?!" and "Ooh, better pay and benefits? Where do I sign up? Oh wait...I am signed up." Anyway, maybe it won't be as bad as last time. Now that I think about it, maybe last time wasn't so bad. I did get some wonderful people in my life, but I really only was still talking to one of them until about a month ago. Oh well. Then again, maybe it was THAT bad and time has made the memory less horrible, time has a way of doing that. On the other hand, a lot of the bad memory could be attributed to the things going on in my life when I quit there. Oh well. I start training again tomorrow. Weird...
Incidentally, it will be nice to be able to wear cute clothes and all my heels to work again! I also won't have to babysit a bunch of teenagers anymore and stand all day long. Maybe this will work out better...Only time will tell.

6 Days of Freedom

As most of you know, or don't it doesn't really matter to me, I have two bosses that make me want to tear off my arm just to have something to throw at them. That would be impossible for one of them since he is based in Maryland, which come to think of it, it is quite an accomplishment to make me dislike him from 3000 miles away, but that is beside the point. Ed, my boss that is actually in Utah, is now on his way to Houston, TX for the annual International Quilt Market! It's like Christmas in July, except it's October but you get the idea. Furthermore, he won't be returning to our presence until next Thursday! It's more than I ever hoped for.
In addition to my wonderful news, 2 out of the 3 days of the quilt show will be on the weekend so they will be unable to call the office and make ridiculous requests/demands! Lisa and I are so thrilled we have decided to get some actual work done, and have the capability to do so since the bosses are not around to make us do stupid busy work. Who am I kidding, we will probably get about the same amount done as always.

Pet Peeves

So any of you who know me know that one of my biggest pet peeves is people who have drivers' licenses and clearly have trouble driving. I was taking a quick trip home today to get my utility bill so I could drop it off after work and a trip that should have taken 5 minutes to get there and 5 minutes to get back took at least double that! When there is a speed limit sign that says 45, you need to go at least 40, I am sorry people but that is how it is. If you want to go 25 miles an hour, you need to get on a road that is not a main road in town where you will block traffic! Furthermore, it is also annoying when you don't turn your signal on until you are halfway through the turn. You are supposed to signal 100 feet in advance! For crying out loud, if you don't know the laws and/or are not comfortable going at least 40 miles an hour, please just get off the main roads!
